This was followed by the circus/song/dance spectacular Moscow Nights, which he created and produced with the State Circus of Ukraine, and had a two year run in Moscow. For its 125th anniversary, the State Circus of Ukraine honored Sasha for this particular production and for “making a substantial contribution to the development of the Art of Circus.”
Sasha, along with his wife and partner Lena (another former Moscow Circus performer) produced one of the largest ethnic Russian festivals in New York City. Located in Battery Park, the show drew more than 300,000 people over its Labor Day Weekend run. One of the highlights of this festival was the official return of the Moscow Circus to the United States for the first time since the break-up of the Soviet Union.
